3/365: This Is Why

 {Raspberry and Brie Phyllo Cups}

As an aspiring cook and blossoming foodie, I've been spending a lot of my free time reading blogs. Food blogs. Blogs full of delicious photos of mouth watering little morsels that make my stomach squeal, "Let's go buy ALL the ingredients right now! Forget the wallet!"

Unfortunately, I can't do this.

So instead I'll post a photo that I feel represents one of the reasons why I love food so much; why I love cooking so much. My sister-in-law made these recently for a Christmas get-together at our home and I've been looking back at this photo for days since...reliving every delicious bite.

2/365: So...puzzled by this.

For New Year's Eve we decided to pick out several puzzles to work on throughout the evening. Though some years we've puzzled and others we haven't, we figured this would be an activity that our Korean 'extended' family could enjoy with us, as our Auntie speaks only Korean. Needless to say, it's been 3 days and we just now have one complete corner finished; definitely getting our money's worth.

1/365: Happy New Year!

Day 1: I figured the start of the new year would be a great time to start my 365 Project. Hopefully this bowl of black eyed peas will give me the luck I need to keep up my motivation. Here's to a new year and 365 days of the little things in life!
